About
WHO WE ARE
Back in 1999, being established with our ever-popular Big Iguana store in Baltimore, our interest peaked on selling more home accessories. It was a new concept for us, and we went all in by packing goods into our 600 sq. foot space delivered straight from Mexico. In that moment, Su Casa was born.
Soon outgrowing our space, we hopped around the neighborhood to find the right fit, and in 2002, landed in our current location, the beautiful Bond Street Wharf building on the corner of Bond and Thames Streets. Located right near the water, along cobblestone streets, in the charming Fells Point neighborhood. This was at a time, we realized, we needed to move beyond décor and accessories and officially embarked into furniture.
Prior to finding our ideal Fells Point location, in 2000, we were ready to open our second location in the heart of Historic Ellicott City. We started small in an old, two-story bank space at the top of Main Street. While we suffered a bit of damage from the devastating flash floods that ravaged the Historic District in July 2016 and again in May 2018, we took the time to rebuild, renovate, and expand the store. We’re happy to say the store is our flagship location and we’re even more proud to be invested in the thriving Historic Ellicott City community.
Our most fun endeavor yet began in late May 2016, one block from the ocean in Bethany Beach, Delaware. As a throwback to the first Su Casa (nearly two decades prior), we carefully selected our collection to squeeze as much Su Casa as we could into a mere 1,100 square feet space. We’re happy to see repeat customers visiting us at this location and not a day goes by that we don’t bump into someone from “back home”!
As our beachfront store was so well received, and as history had shown us, once a community gets a taste for Su Casa, a little isn’t enough. So, in April 2018, we opened our fourth location in Ocean View, Delaware, a short 2 miles from the waves on Bethany Beach. At our Ocean View location we provide a much larger collection for our customers in Delaware to discover and shop.
Throughout our journey, we’ve met many talented people that share our passion for quality and design. We love telling the stories around the products we sell and connecting to our communities. The incredible artisans we represent certainly make that possible. You’ll find stories connected to the items we sell in all of our locations, if you want to know more just ask!
We’re proud to have four convenient locations and a hard-working, dedicated team. Stop by and visit us! Su Casa is here to help you make your house your home.
WHAT WE DO
Our team of passionate professionals is here to assist with everything from interior design to birthday gifts, wedding registries to creating a one-of-a-kind statement piece.
Su Casa carries dining and living room furniture in styles that run from classic, hand-carved, solid wood to sleek, mixed materials like steel and glass - and everything in between. Our leather and upholstered sofas are available in thousands of coverings and, if that’s not enough, most of our upholsterers will let you select your own fabric.
We’ve furnished practically every neighborhood in and around Baltimore, so if you think you have a problem spot, rest assured, Su Casa has you covered. We’re used to narrow doors, awkward stairwells and tight spots - we’ve seen your challenge before and are ready to solve it!
We are here to help you get the look you want. Our employees are some of our best customers, too, so we’ve selected only manufacturers that adhere to our high standards for quality and delivery. We are constantly sourcing new products, so if you don’t see it or haven’t seen it yet, let us know, we can probably find it for you. We’re not a mega company, so please know that our website is just a sampling of what’s possible - for the true Su Casa experience, stop by, say hi, and let us work with you as a person. We'll be happy to oblige.
