Susan

Susan graduated from the University of Delaware with an English degree and began her early career in Financial Operations. In 2013, she returned to school to pursue her passion for Interior Design, and graduated from The Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville.

While pursuing her degree, Susan immersed herself in both Residential and Commercial Interior Design. She worked as a Design Assistant for several Residential Interior Design Firms in the Baltimore area to gain experience and to develop her personal style. Susan spent 2 years as a Buyer at Wilson Lighting and Interiors. She started Melinda Darrin Design in the spring of 2020, and has worked at Su Casa for a total of 5 years in both Fells Point and Ellicott City.

Susan’s design services include space planning, home furnishing selections, finish and plumbing selections, lighting selections and styling; she is passionate about new builds, remodeling and simply refreshing spaces. Creating a home that fits a client’s style as well as budget is of great importance to Susan. She believes that style should be affordable, attainable and above all, functional. Susan is passionate about all design styles – traditional, modern, rustic, eclectic, contemporary and everything in between.
